The Diocese of Grand Rapids is seeking either a full-time Staff Attorney or DOJ Representative to provide high-quality legal representation in a substantial number of family-based, citizenship, and humanitarian immigration matters before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the U.S. Department of State.

The qualified candidate will either have an active license to practice law in any U.S. state or previous experience as a DOJ Representative. Attorneys currently licensed to practice law in Michigan are strongly preferred. If licensed in another jurisdiction, candidate must be qualified to be admitted in Michigan by waiver, or able to take the next available Michigan bar exam. Must be highly proficient in English and Spanish. Candidates without needed Spanish-language skills may still be considered if they are fluent in French. Previous experience in a professional context with family-based and/or humanitarian-based immigration matters preferred. Must be committed to the mission and goals of the Catholic Church.
