Job Description

St. Paul the Apostle Early Childhood Center is seeking a full-time Lead Teacher for the Preschool 3 classroom to join our staff beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for someone who will create a nurturing learning environment and has a passion for hands-on activities and inquiry-led learning. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences with the Co-Lead Teacher that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered, safe, and healthy learning environment. We are looking for someone who is kind, creative and has a desire to bring the Catholic faith to children through their everyday experiences.

Candidates must meet the following qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with early childhood emphasis or an associate degree with early childhood credentials
  • CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training)
  • Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
  • Commitment to fostering the faith of the children
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Proficient usage and integration of technology in the classroom setting
  • Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars, in-services, and training
  • The candidate should be Catholic and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Must have or willing to take Virtus – Protecting God’s Children Training
