The Diocese of Grand Rapids has received word that Rev. Louis Baudone died on May 18, 2024 at age 93 in West Paris, Maine.
He was incardinated in the Diocese of Grand Rapids by Bishop Joseph Breitenbeck on July 31, 1972. Father Baudone served in the Diocese at the parishes of Immaculate Heart of Mary, Grand Rapids; St. Mary-St. Paul, Big Rapids; Sacred Heart, Muskegon Heights; Basilica of Saint Adalbert, Grand Rapids; St. Patrick, Portland; St. Edward, Lake Odessa; St. Bernadette of Lourdes, Stanton; St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Edmore; and St. Gregory, Hart.
Since 2002, he had led a life of prayer and penance in accordance with the Essential Norms of the Dallas Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People.
