During the West Michigan chapter of the Public Relations Society of America’s (WMPRSA) 38th Annual PRoof Awards on Thursday, June 6, the Diocese of Grand Rapids was recognized with four silver awards for excellence in public relations during 2023. The awards event was held at New Vintage Place in Grand Rapids and emceed by WZZM 13 On your Side’s Alana Holland.
WMPRSA’s PRoof Awards recognize practitioners who successfully use skill, creativity and resourcefulness in addressing communication challenges and highlights the “best of the best” public relations campaigns, tactics, and professionals in West Michigan.

The work of the diocesan communications team and FAITH magazine editors including Annalise Laumeyer, JoAnn Fox, and Annie Willison was recognized with awards in the following areas:
- For a communications campaign to promote Into the Mystery: A Day of Eucharistic Renewal, Unity, and Adventure (in the Events and Observances, less than 7 days category)
- For Giving Tuesday (in the Social Media category)
- For FAITH Grand Rapids magazine (in the Magazine category)
- For the diocesan Annual Report 2023 (in the Annual Reports category)
