Bishop Walkowiak announces the following appointments:

Reverend Steven D. Cron, pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Wyoming, is granted senior priest status, effective June 30, 2021. Bishop Walkowiak expresses his sincere gratitude to Father Cron for his 43 years of priestly ministry.

 

Reverend Robert A. Sirico, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Grand Rapids, is granted senior priest status, effective June 30, 2021. Bishop Walkowiak expresses his sincere gratitude to Father Sirico for his 32 years of priestly ministry.

 

Reverend Leonard A. Sudlik, pastor of St. Robert of Newminster Parish in Ada, is granted senior priest status, effective July 30, 2021. Bishop Walkowiak expresses his sincere gratitude to Father Sudlik for his 45 years of priestly ministry.

 

Noah Thelen, seminarian of the Diocese of Grand Rapids

Deacon Noah I. Thelen, to be ordained June 5, 2021, is appointed parochial vicar of St. Francis de Sales Parish in Holland. Reverend Matthew J. Barnum, pastor of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Muskegon, is appointed pastor of St. Ann-St. Ignatius Parish in Baldwin and St. Bernard Parish in Irons, effective July 1, 2021.

 

Reverend Michael E. Burt, pastor of St. Mary-St. Paul Parish in Big Rapids, is appointed pastor of Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Holland, effective July 1, 2021.

 

Reverend Edwin Carreño Carreño, Parochial vicar of the Parish of the Holy Spirit in Grand Rapids, is appointed canonical administrator of the Shrine of St. Francis Xavier/Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Grand Rapids, effective July 1, 2021.

 

Reverend Michael F. Cilibraise, pastor of Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Holland, is appointed pastor of Holy Family Parish in Caledonia, effective July 1, 2021.

 

Reverend Dominic T. Couturier, parochial vicar of St. Robert of Newminster Parish in Ada, is appointed canonical administrator of Our Lady of Consolation Parish in Rockford, effective July 30, 2021.

 

Reverend Daniel R. DePew is appointed pastor of St. John Cantius Parish in Free Soil, effective July 1, 2021. This appointment is in addition to his current assignment as pastor of St. Mary-St. Jerome Parish in Custer.

 

Reverend Jegar N. Fickel, parochial vicar of St. Mary-St. Paul Parish in Big Rapids, is appointed canonical administrator of St. Mary-St. Paul Parish in Big Rapids, effective July 1, 2021.

Reverend Ron Floyd, parochial vicar of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Grand Rapids, is appointed canonical administrator of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, effective July 1, 2021.

 

Reverend Kyle J. Kilpatrick, parochial vicar of St. Francis de Sales Parish in Holland, is appointed canonical administrator of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Muskegon, effective July 1, 2021.

 

Reverend José Luis Quintana, pastor of the Shrine of St. Francis Xavier/Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Grand Rapids, is appointed pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Wyoming, effective July 1, 2021.

 

Reverend Anthony S. Russo, pastor of Our Lady of Consolation Parish in Rockford, is appointed pastor of St. Robert of Newminster Parish in Ada, effective July 30, 2021.

 

Reverend Loc Q. Trinh is appointed parochial vicar of Our Lady of Consolation Parish in Rockford, effective July 30, 2021.

In addition, with approval from Bishop Walkowiak, the Paulist Fathers have assigned Father Michael Cruickshank, CSP, as parochial vicar of the Cathedral of Saint Andrew. Father Michael Hennessy, CSP, who has served as a parochial vicar for the cathedral for the past three years, has been assigned by his order to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles where he will be setting up a West Coast office for Paulist vocations. He leaves the Diocese of Grand Rapids on June 29.
