The religious institute formerly known as the Trinitarians of Mary (Mater Dei Monastery, Lowell, Michigan) was formally suppressed by the Apostolic See (Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life) on August 9, 2022, at the conclusion of a three-year visitation. At that time, the former members were automatically dispensed from their vows and may no longer present themselves as religious. I am now announcing this publicly at the request of the Dicastery.
Let us pray that God’s compassionate care may support all those who have been profoundly affected by this suppression.
