Thank you for your generous response to Bishop Walkowiak’s call for a special Haiti earthquake relief collection in our parishes in August.
As of Sept. 7, $60,801.28 has been received through collections in our parishes and checks mailed to the diocese. All donations received are being sent to Catholic Relief Services. CRS—along with local partners— is assessing and working to meet the needs of people in Haiti.
As Haitians continue to cope with widespread devastation and loss following the 7.2 magnitude earthquake on Aug. 14, followed by Tropical Storm Grace on Aug. 16, your contribution will be used to help CRS bring relief, in the form of food, emergency shelter and other supplies, and safe drinking water to affected families.
