About the Paulist Fathers:

The Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle (“The Paulist Fathers”) is a community of Catholic priests who share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through mission preaching, media, campus ministries, parishes, downtown centers, the arts and more.

Led by the Holy Spirit, the Paulists focus on evangelization (reaching out), reconciliation (bringing peace) and ecumenical and interfaith relations (seeking unity).

Every day, across the Internet and airwaves, in bookstores and campus centers and in communities and churches, Paulists navigate between the spiritual and the secular to meet every person at any point on the journey of faith.

The Paulist Fathers in Grand Rapids serve the Cathedral of Saint Andrew parish community and the Catholic Information Center, Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapids Serra Club: 75th Anniversary Celebration

Monday, May 8, 5:30 p.m. (invitation only)

The Serra Club of Grand Rapids will host an evening celebration on May 8 at Cathedral Square Center in Grand Rapids. The keynote speaker will be Cardinal Thomas Collins, Archbishop Emeritus of Toronto. Cardinal Collins is also the Episcopal Advisor to Serra International. His Excellency, Bishop Walkowiak will be in attendance as will John Liston, executive director of Serra International.

About Serra:

Serra USA was formed in 1935.  It happened when a small group of lay people in Seattle decided to form an organization to promote and foster vocations to the priesthood and consecrated religious life. As a result, they chose Father Junipero Serra, the great missionary, as their patron and named the organization SERRA Club of Seattle.

Serrans are lay Catholics found around the world.  They are men and women of all ages and from all walks of life. Members range from lawyers, doctors, and business people, to nurses, clerks,  stay at home workers, and retirees.  All are dedicated to promote and foster vocations.
