General Description
The Technical Support Analyst provides IT support, through troubleshooting, modeling, coaching, and training to teachers and other school staff. He / She champions innovative instructional practices and supportive instructional technology that leads to heightened staff knowledge, efficiencies, and curricular practices. The Technology Specialist contributes to the school’s mission, vision, and educational strategy with the goals of Catholic Central High School in collaboration with the Office of Catholic Schools and the Diocese of Grand Rapids.
Position Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Bachelors’ degree in instructional technology, computer science, educational technology, or related field
- Experience working with the administration or technical support of Learning Management Systems.
- Experience working in an educational setting is preferred. Experience working with multimedia authoring tools, collaborative tools, and digital learning materials
- Experience teaching technological skills to adult learners
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills regarding the timeliness of response, meeting established quality standards of practice and communication
- Must be able to self-train on new hardware and software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with staff, students, parents, and community members
- Previous successful experiences in training, presenting information to groups, and interpreting technical information Able to break down complex, technical language and communicate it in a manner that the general staff can comprehend
- A high level of special problem-solving skills is required due to the technical complexity of the problems related to supporting multiple platforms. A lack of precedence necessitates the development of creative solutions to problems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team to accomplish work goals and objectives. Able to plan, prioritize, and coordinate complex multiple projects in a fast‐paced environment
