Long-Term Substitute Teacher – 2nd Grade

Summary of Position
Teach students in grade 2 from the beginning of the 2024-25 school year (first day of school is Wednesday, August 21) through November 26, 2024. This teacher is responsible to plan, organize, and implement a challenging, engaging, and relevant curriculum in accordance with school and diocesan guidelines. The teacher will be responsible for one second grade classroom and the duties that requires. This teacher must also follow all duties and responsibilities as outlined by the mission, vision, and values of the school and Diocese of Grand Rapids.
Position Requirements
- Must be a practicing Catholic with a strong desire to share their faith with students
- Be able to cooperate, contribute, and participate effectively with colleagues
- Create lesson plans appropriate for second grade curriculum
- Attend staff meetings, conferences, and other activities outside of the normal teaching day
- Be Virtus trained
Educational Requirements and Experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional demeanor
- Must be able to complete assignments, grades, assessments in a timely manner
- Must have excellent classroom management
