We are seeking a lead after school program coordinator to join our team as we provide a positive environment for our kindergarten through 8th grade students after their regular school day has concluded. This position requires availability Monday through Friday 2:00pm to 6:00pm as well as availability on snow days and additional non-school days (when childcare is open) that are scheduled during the school year.

Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities for students attending the after school programs
- Plans for and prepares materials for activities each day before the start of programming
- Engages with students from 3:15pm to 6:00pm providing supervision of students and engagement in planned activities
- Collaborates with the child care director to ensure quality programming and to train new staff members who join the Saints and Eagles Club after school team
- Inventories the rooms and requests supplies
- Maintains the cleanliness of the childcare spaces
- Practices positive, consistent discipline in the after school care setting and contacts parents when necessary
- Keeps the child care director informed of areas of need and concern
- Acts as a witness to the Gospel values
- Demonstrates professional work habits by regular attendance, honoring schedules, organizing work, and conducting assigned tasks in an effective and efficient manner
- Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese
Qualifications
- Experience working with school age children
- Experience in a childcare setting preferred
- High school diploma
Requirements
- Virtus trained or willingness to complete prior to start date
- Complete the childcare licensing requirements through the State of Michigan
