Job Description

St. Patrick School is seeking (2) infant/ toddler daycare teacher assistants to join our staff beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidates must be able to work collaboratively with staff to carry out the mission of St. Patrick School. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.

St. Patrick Daycare in Portland, is seeking two, part-time Daycare Teacher Assistants. All candidates must be highly energetic, enthusiastic, a team player, and possess a love for early childhood. This position is Monday through Friday, and currently runs 12 months.

Candidates must meet the following criteria

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • A solid understanding of age-appropriate activities for young children and child development.
  • First Aid and Adult/Child CPR (training will be provided if needed).
  • Caring and nurturing attitude towards children.
  • Commitment to fostering the faith of children.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars, in-services, and training.
  • Must have or be willing to take Virtus – Protecting God’s Children training.
  • The candidate should be a practicing Catholic and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church.
