Job Description
St. Paul the Apostle Early Childhood Center is hiring a full-time Co-Lead Teacher for the toddler
classroom. We are looking for someone who will partner with the Lead Toddler Teacher to
create a nurturing learning environment for toddlers 1-2.5 years in age. The Co-Lead Teacher
will be responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the
intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered,
safe, and healthy learning environment. The Co-Lead Teacher will assume primary
responsibility of the classroom in the afternoons when the Lead Toddler Teacher shift is over.
We are looking for someone who is kind, creative and has a desire to bring the Catholic faith to
children through their everyday experiences.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications
- Bachelor Degree with early childhood emphasis or an associates degree with early childhood credentials or have the desire to work toward an Early Childhood Credential
- CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training)
- Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
- Commitment to fostering the faith of the children
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars, in-services, and training
- The candidate should be Catholic and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Must have or willing to take Virtus – Protecting God’s Children Training
