Job Description
St. Paul the Apostle is hiring a full-time classroom paraprofessional. The teacher assistant assists the lead teacher in planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered, safe, and healthy learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess creativity, energy, flexibility, and a love for working with all learners.
Hours
8:00-3:00pm
School-Year Calendar (Summer hours available if interested)
Time-off includes student breaks: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mid-Winter, Spring, Easter (if applicable) etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in small group instruction
- Assist teacher in maintaining the classroom environment
- Assist classroom teacher in the preparation of materials
- Recess and classroom monitoring
- Any and all duties assigned by the teacher and/or principal
Candidates must meet the following qualifications
- Over 18yrs old and enjoy working with children
- Be willing to take Virtus – Protecting God’s Children Training (provided by the school)
