Deacon William “Bill” Cook, age 72, entered eternal life on Aug. 9, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Cook, along with daughter, Jill Cohee; step-children, Heidi Steigman and Donald Steigman, nine grandchildren, as well as three brothers and a sister.

Deacon Cook was a graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and worked as a pattern maker for many local companies. He was ordained to the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Grand Rapids on Feb. 11, 2006. Since his ordination, he had served as a deacon in parishes in the Muskegon area including St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, Our Lady of Grace, and others, and belonged to the Holy Rosary Council of the Knights of Columbus.

Friday, Aug. 13, 6-8 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial:
Saturday, Aug. 14 at 10:30 a.m. with Bishop Walkowiak presiding.
