The Biblical Basis for the Eucharist

Wednesday, Jan. 17, 7 p.m., The Biblical Basis for the Eucharist presented by John Bursch, senior counsel and vice president of appellate advocacy with Alliance Defending Freedom, Holy Family Church, 9669 Kraft Ave., Caledonia. The Catholic Church teaches that during the Eucharistic celebration at Mass bread and wine become the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus. But where does this teaching come from? Walk through the Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—examining the places that foreshadow and then explain the miracle of Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist. The presentation will include suggestions about how we can more intentionally see Christ in the Eucharist. All are welcome to this free event.
