Mass with Bishop Walkowiak to open the Synod on Communion, Participation and Mission

In October, Pope Francis will formally open a three-year synodal journey “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission” that includes three phases of consultations and discernment – diocesan, continental and universal – culminating in October 2023.
The process will begin in local dioceses. Bishop Walkowiak will mark the opening of the synod in our diocese with Mass on Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew.
