Blue Christmas: A sacred space for the burdened

Sunday, Dec. 15, 4-6 p.m., Blue Christmas: A sacred space for the burdened (in person). Lay down your burdens in the sacred space of this service where we find Jesus in our suffering. Because the Christmas story thrums with difficult realities – poverty, grief, danger, oppression, separation and death – there is room for the whole of our experience, not only praise and joy. If you find you are not looking forward to the celebrations of Christmas and need somewhere to go with your pain, we offer this space to tend your soul. The service will be celebrated contemplatively through Scripture and song in the Taizé style to gather our sorrows and lift them to God.
