Happy 100th anniversary! Parishioners and friends of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Rothbury and Mary Queen of Apostles Parish in Sand Lake are gathering this summer to mark the 100th anniversaries of their churches. One of the ways they are celebrating these momentous occasions is with Mass with Bishop Walkowiak.

On Sunday, Aug. 13, the parish community and friends of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Rothbury gathered for a 100th anniversary Mass. Bishop Walkowiak presided as the community gave thanks for the many blessings God has given to the people and families who’ve been part of the parish’s 100-year history. Bishop Walkowiak reminded the congregation that only three days after the celebration, the Church would mark the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Following Mass, there was an opportunity for photos and a light buffet was served.
