Janitor

Position Status:

Immediate Supervisor: Facilities and Maintenance Director Department: Academy/Parish

Position Summary: The Janitor, under the supervision of the Facilities and Maintenance Director, and in
collaboration with other members of the maintenance team, is responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the
church and school buildings and grounds.

Specifications:
● Seasonal job – during the school year.
● Part time – $15/hr
● 25-30 hrs/wk
● Shift has to be after 3:30 pm, but can be flexible, otherwise.
● Christmas and Thanksgiving off.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
● Complete all tasks as assigned by the Facilities and Maintenance Director in a responsible and timely
manner.
● Communicate with the Facilities and Maintenance Director on a regular basis concerning the completion of
or issues of assigned duties and responsibilities.
● Attend biweekly maintenance team meetings, and meet with Facilities and Maintenance Director, as
needed.
● Assist with event set up.
● Other duties as assigned.
● At all times, maintain an attitude and perform your work in a manner which corresponds to Sacred Heart
Academy’s mission and culture.

Qualifications:
Required:
● Hard working.
● Self-motivated.
● Exceptional written and oral communications skills, and strong attention to detail.
● Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
● Ability to stand for long periods of time.
● Ability to prioritize among competing goals to execute on tight deadlines.
● Ability to work independently, as well as on a team.

Preferred:
● Skilled in the Google documents/forms.
