Aging Successfully – All the things you should know about aging

Please join the Senior Care Coalition on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 8:30 a.m.-noon at St. Robert of Newminster Parish in Ada for a morning of learning.

“You Are the Company You Keep”
Our keynote speaker for the event is Grand Rapids own Gleaves Whitney, Executive Director of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation. Mr. Whitney is a historian and author of many books and articles. Gleaves will speak about the way we grow into our potential as citizens and as souls. Citizens of Grand Rapids are fortunate to have many fine role models who give abundantly of themselves. Gleaves will reflect on two of them who have had a major impact on his life—Grand Rapids native and faithful Catholic servant, Ralph W. Hauenstein, and the 38th President of the United States, Gerald R. Ford.

Additionally, the event will feature several breakout sessions to provide information and education relating to paying for long term care, understanding long term care and living options, as well as community services for older adults. Participants will come away from the event with information and knowledge to assist them and loved ones as they age.
