Catholic Scout International Awareness Workshop

The Grand Rapids Catholic Committee on Scouting invites all adults and youth to learn about the Catholic faith and Scouting in foreign countries around the world during the International Awareness Workshop Sunday, Nov. 14 from 2 – 4:30 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Grand Rapids (in the gym).

This workshop will provide an opportunity for its members to not only meet together as friends in the Catholic Church, but also further links the Catholic Church and the Scouting Movement from all over the world. From the Catholic faith point of view, it develops and enhances the spiritual dimension of Scouting in the World Scout Movement. Hundreds of youth and adults have attended this workshop over the years.

The International Awareness Workshop also offers an excellent chance for participants to meet some or all of the requirements for earning the Religious Activity Award for the International Awareness in the Catholic Church for all ages (youth and adult) of the American Heritage Girls, BSA Scouts, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire Girl programs.

The workshop is free. Patches, medallions, and pins will be available for purchase. ($1-$5)
