Several local organizations received funding for their anti-poverty work as a result of the annual Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) collection. Your generosity allowed almost $46,000 to be distributed among these organizations, many of which are Catholic. This funding comes from 25% of each annual collection remaining local.

At the recommendation of the local CCHD grant committee and ratified by Bishop Walkowiak, 21 organizations received local grants. These organizations are located here in our diocese and include projects across six West Michigan counties in both urban and rural communities.

  • Catholic Charities West Michigan – Pregnancy Counseling
  • Lake Country Area Churches Charities, Baldwin – Bread of Life Food Pantry
  • St. Charles, St. Joseph–St. Mary parishes, Greenville – Walking with Moms in Need
  • St. Charles Parish, Greenville, God’s Community Kitchen
  • Ss. Peter and Paul Parish, Ionia – Friends of Jesus Fund
  • St. Patrick Parish, Portland – Society of St. Vincent de Paul
  • Our Lady of Consolation, Rockford – Walking with Moms in Need (Layette Ministry)
  • HELP Pregnancy Aid, Inc. – Extra Mile Project
  • St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Grand Rapids – Welcome Baskets and Community Cuisines at Carlton Lofts
  • Holy Family Parish, Caledonia – Walking with Moms in Need (The Baby’s Room)
  • St. Alphonsus Parish, Grand Rapids – Food and Clothing Pantry
  • St. Adalbert Parish, Grand Rapids – Society of St. Vincent de Paul
  • LIFT Community Outreach – VITA Tax Program
  • St. Ann Parish, Baldwin – Grandmother’s Cupboard
