SUMMARY:Catholic Scout International Awareness Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Come learn about the Catholic faith and Scouting in countries around the world. \nThis workshop will provide an opportunity for its members to not only meet together as friends in the Catholic Church\, but also further links the Catholic Church and the Scouting Movement from all over the world. From the Catholic faith point of view\, it develops and enhances the spiritual dimension of Scouting in the World Scout Movement. Hundreds of youth and adults have attended this workshop over the years. \nThe International Awareness Workshop also offers an excellent chance for participants to meet some or all of the requirements for earning the Religious Activity Award for the International Awareness in the Catholic Church for all ages (youth and adult) of the American Heritage Girls\, BSA Scouts\, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire Girl programs.  \nThis is a great chance to meet priests\, deacons\, religious sisters and lay people who have been involved with missionary work\, vocations\, World Youth Day\, and International Scouting events. Patches\, pins\, and medals will be available for purchase ($1-15 depending on age level earned). There is no other costs associated with this workshop. All Catholic youth may attend. \nDeadline to sign up is May 31.

DESCRIPTION:A powerful way to enter into Holy Week in expectation of Easter! \nJoin the parish communities of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary\, Belmont\, and Our Lady of Consolation\, Rockford\, for a Way of the Cross procession Saturday\, March 27. Meet at 7:30 a.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church for morning prayer. During the procession\, participants will be carrying a life-sized cross from one church to the other beginning in the parking lot of  Assumption. \nReflection on the Stations of the Cross and decades of the rosary as we walk.
