God’s infinite mercy is always available to us. The sacrament of penance (also known as “confession” or “reconciliation”) offers us the opportunity to arise anew in Christ.

During the season of Lent, a majority of the churches of the Diocese of Grand Rapids will have a priest(s) available Wednesday, March 27 from 5 – 8 p.m. to hear confessions. Confession is available year-round in our churches, but the season of Lent by its nature is an opportune time for anyone in need of forgiveness to seek God’s unfailing mercy and restore and renew their relationship with Jesus through the sacrament of penance.
