The Diocese of Grand Rapids is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to provide a variety of specialized administrative support services for the Office of Hispanic Ministry.
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and related office services for the Office of Hispanic Ministry including clerical and administrative duties, project management, as well as event planning and database coordination.
This position requires a practicing Roman Catholic with broad knowledge of Catholic teaching, fluency in Spanish and English in both spoken and written word, three to five years of experience in an office setting and knowledge of office equipment. Ministry experience and a degree in a related field are desired. Excellent secretarial, clerical, computer, event planning and organizational skills required. Must have the ability to relate to a wide range of diverse cultures and to work independently. A detail-orientation with ability to schedule and prioritize projects while maintaining confidential information along with flexibility to accommodate the scheduling needs of the office is needed. A familiarity with the parishes of the diocese is desirable.
