Father Joseph Anthony Reitz, age 92, entered eternal life on Jan. 5, 2020. Father Reitz was born on Dec. 25, 1927, the son of Anthony Reitz and Edith Daller Reitz. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Father William Reitz, Virginia Reitz, and Margaret (Howard) Scheid.
Father Reitz served the parishes of St Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Muskegon; St. Rose of Lima in Hastings; St. Francis de Sales in Muskegon; St. Bernard and the mission parish of St. Ignatius in Irons and Luther; Our Lady of the Lake in Prudenville, and St. Stephen and St. Theresa in Lake City and Manton. He assumed senior priest status in June 1993.
