Catholic Central High School is seeking a Mathematics Teacher, full-time or part-time, for the 2019-20 school year.
Catholic Central High School:
Catholic Central High School is rich in both history and tradition. Founded in 1906 by Bishop Henry Richter and the Dominican Sisters, it is the oldest Catholic, coeducational, diocesan high school in the U.S. It draws and benefits from a culturally diverse student body of 645 students, grades 9-12. Since being established, over 20,000 students have graduated, many of whom still serve our community today. Throughout its history, Catholic Central has maintained its mission to challenge students to know and love God, seek knowledge and truth, respect the dignity of each person, and contribute to society through leadership and service.
The study of mathematics at Catholic Central High School provides the student with a foundation of logic, reasoning, and calculation skills and an experience in current technology which will enable the student to succeed in his or her chosen career, and it provides challenging methods of operating which serve to increase problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking skills. Through the study of mathematics, students will foster virtues of wisdom, knowledge and integrity that will serve them in any of the myriad of vocational opportunities to which God calls them.
