Position Supervised: Clean crew, volunteers and contractors
Council/Committee: Finance


• Boiler certification or working towards
• Previous maintenance experience- three to four years in building and grounds
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute an effective plan
• Good mechanical aptitude and experience working with HVAC, air-handling systems, emergency generators, knowledge of lawn care functions, knowledge of building construction and ability to organize and prioritize time. On-call availability for emergencies
• Must be able to read and use maintenance manuals and accurately maintain material/chemical safety data

• Also: Able to lift, up to 50 lbs. without accommodation

Specific areas of responsibility:

• Directs the work of cleaning staff, performing maintenance duties as appropriate/needed
• Coordinate volunteers for seasonal clean up
• Supervises and assist with maintenance of grounds – mowing, weeds, raking etc.
• Oversees scheduling of contractors i.e. snow removal, ice./snow removal and parking lot/walkways, sprinkling system
• Responsible for setting up rooms chairs and tables, moving and picking up equipment
• Maintain chemical safety sheets
• Orders and stocks cleaning supplies
• Manages HVAC system
• Attends Workshops and classes to maintain/improve skills to perform job
• Works with Business Manager/Pastor to obtain bids for work which cannot be done by staff and oversees fulfillment of contract terms
