The Diocese of Gaylord is looking for a qualified person to fill the position of Director of Human Resources. This full time position will have the primary responsibilities of serving as a professional resource for the Pastoral Center and all parishes and schools within the Diocese concerning employment benefits and issues, as well as recommending, implementing and overseeing just and effective Human Resources policies and practices, safe environment, and compliance with all applicable State and Federal employment laws and regulations. Occasional travel is expected.
A Bachelor’s degree with two to three years of experience in a non- profit or Catholic organization and some experience in human resources is desired. The HR candidate must be able to nurture positive relationships with strong interpersonal skills and have a desire to work collaboratively with others. The selected candidate should have familiarity with the Church’s structure, functions, institutions and knowledge of current church issues.
